About Me

Hi! I’m Adeel Ahmad, born and raised in South Asia, and lucky enough to grow up traveling the world with my family. That early exposure sparked a lifelong curiosity to explore new places and experience different cultures firsthand. I now reside in beautiful and nature friendly State of Minnesota in the United States, the land of 10,000 lakes.

My travel style? Fast-paced and packed. I try to see as much as I can in every trip. There’s something exhilarating about squeezing the most out of every destination, even if it means running on little sleep and a lot of caffeine. Whether it’s a bustling city or a remote corner of nature, I’m always chasing that feeling of discovery. When possible, I prefer to travel by train or self-drive, which gives me the special feeling of having the flexibility to explore off the beaten path at your own pace.

After having visited over 60 countries, travel has become more than just ticking places off a list. It is a humbling experience, one that constantly pulls me out of my comfort zone. I’m especially drawn to nature and to the way people around the world live with less but often seem happier, more grounded, and content. Those contrasts stick with me long after the trip is over.

So, why did I start writing? Because pictures and videos only tell part of the story. They don’t always capture the feeling of the wind in your face at the top of a dune, the random street food stall that became the highlight of the day, or the kindness of a stranger when you’re lost in a new city. Writing lets me revisit those moments in full – with context, emotion, and all the messy, beautiful in-betweens.

I’m someone who genuinely enjoys the planning phase of travel. Researching, mapping, and building the perfect itinerary is all part of the adventure for me.

Outside of travel, I’m a big sports fan, especially when it comes to Formula 1. I love the thrill, the strategy, and the personalities on and off the track. I also love traveling to watch live sporting events (F1 races, FIFA world cups, tennis championships, Cricket world cups). At home, you’ll often find me working on complex jigsaw puzzles or assembling massive LEGO sets, something about the process of creating order from chaos just clicks with me (maybe that’s the planner in me speaking).

Thanks for stopping by. I hope my stories inspire your own adventures, or at the very least, give you something fun to read between your own life’s puzzle pieces.
